The world is changing, and so are the MBA rankings. The Economist has released a list of the best business schools in Europe for 2021. These institutions offer a variety of educational opportunities, from full-time to part-time courses, as well as online degrees. The Economist MBA Ranking in the 2019/2020 edition of The Economist is based on the following factors:

  1. The number of alumni who went on to hold C-level positions in Fortune 500 companies, startups, and other top firms (20%).
  2. Percentage of female faculty members (15%)
  3. The average salary for alumni entering their first year as a CEO or founder at an early stage company ($62.500) – It should be noted that this category includes people with high earnings from venture capital roles and investments rather than those graduating from full-time business school programs (14.25%).The Economist has also made clear that these rankings are given solely “according to our research.”

Top MBA Rankings 2021:

1. Harvard University

Harvard University was ranked first in this year’s ranking by UCL Bloomberg. According to a member of the Class of 2020 at Stanford Graduate School of Management (UCD), this is because these schools have been ranked highly by alumni who went on to enter positions as chief executives or founders at early stage companies ($62.500), the percentage of female faculty members, and the average salary for graduates entering their first year as a C level executive ($900,000). The competition between the best business schools in Europe will still be fierce in 2021.

2. Berkeley's Haas School of Business

“With its placement at 11th in this year’s ranking, Berkeley’s Haas School of Business is ranked as the second-best business school in Europe for 2021,” said a member of the Stanford Graduate School of Management (UCD) Class of 2020.The competition between the best business schools in Europe will still be fierce in 2021.Berkeley has achieved an international reputation through faculty research, academic leadership, and innovation. Faculty members include Nobel Laureates George Akerlof, Kenneth Arrow, and John Nash Jr., each honored for their seminal contributions to economic theory; Linda Babcock, who recently won a share of the 2016 Nobel Prize in Economics (shared with two others); Professor Matthew Bishop, editor-in-chief of The Economist; and Professor Philip Bobbit, a leading expert on international affairs.

The school has been accredited by AACSB International since 1959. One measure for assessing excellence across all types of institutions, including undergraduate colleges and universities, graduate programs, professional degree-granting institutions such as law or medicine schools, publishing houses, performing arts companies – is to rank them according to how many that institution places within America’s.

3. INSEAD business school

INSEAD business school is ranked first in the world for business and economics, according to the latest QS Best Business Schools Rankings. INSEAD is one of the best business schools in Europe, ranking first on this list. In addition to their MBA program, INSEAD offers an Executive MBA (EMBA), which is geared toward experienced managers with at least five years of experience but no formal education beyond high school or university degrees.

The EMBA’s duration is 12 months versus two years for most other executive MBA programs around the world. It should be noted that some universities will accept students without any prior degree qualifications; they simply ask applicants to take entrance exams or submit work samples during interviews before being admitted to a course.
